Hired Talent Network Terms

1. What Hired is

Hired is a free online community where independent businesses (members of Simple Media's education program) post work opportunities and independent video editors and virtual assistants offer their services. Simple Media operates the community space. That is the full extent of our role.

2. What Hired is not

Joining Hired does not create any employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or recruitment relationship between you and Simple Media. We are not your employer, recruiter, staffing agency, placement service, or representative. We do not assign you work, set your rates, supervise your work, or pay you. We never charge talent any fee, commission, or deduction of any kind, and we never will. If anyone claims to collect a fee from you on our behalf, it is a scam; report it.

3. Engagements are between you and the hiring business

Any work arrangement you enter is solely between you and the business that hires you. Scope, deliverables, rates, payment method, timing, taxes, and everything else are agreed between you and them. Simple Media is not a party to those arrangements, does not process or guarantee payments, and does not guarantee that you will receive any work at all. If a dispute arises between you and a hiring business, you resolve it with them.

4. No vetting, no warranties

We review applications for basic fit only. We do not verify the identity, skills, claims, solvency, or conduct of any business or community member, and we make no representation about any of them. Do your own diligence before accepting work, and follow the safety guidance pinned in the community (paid trial tasks, regular payment intervals, never pay anyone to get work).

5. Your conduct

By joining you agree to: (a) provide accurate information in your application and profile; (b) use one Discord account; (c) not share, create, or request server invites; (d) not advertise unrelated services, products, or communities; (e) not scrape, collect, or share information about community members; (f) not harass, threaten, or defraud anyone; (g) keep non-public information you see inside Hired confidential; and (h) not misrepresent your work, portfolio, or identity.

6. Moderation and removal

We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, moderate, or remove content, users, or activity. We may remove anyone from Hired at any time, at our sole discretion, with or without cause or notice. You may leave at any time.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Hired is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simple Media is not liable for any loss arising from your participation in Hired or from any engagement you enter through it, including unpaid invoices, lost opportunities, or disputes with hiring businesses. If we are found liable despite this, our total liability is capped at one hundred US dollars (USD 100). You agree to indemnify Simple Media against claims arising from your conduct or your engagements.

8. Your data

We collect and store your application answers, contact details, Discord account ID, and a record of your acceptance of these terms (including timestamp and IP address), and operational records of community activity. We use this data to operate, secure, and improve Hired and to connect talent with hiring businesses. We do not sell your data. You consent to this processing, including transfer to and storage in the United States. To request deletion, email simplesaucegroup@gmail.com; we will remove your data unless we need to retain records of acceptance or abuse.

9. General

You must be at least 18 years old. We may update these terms; continued participation after notice of an update is acceptance. These terms are governed by Florida law, and any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands.
